Biography
Doug started working at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003 and has been involved in educational technology since 2011. While at PCOM, he lead the evaluation and implementation of systems such as Blackboard Learn, Blackboard Collaborate, ExamSoft, and i<Clickers. Research projects include the evaluation of how medical students break bad news, end of life issues, and how simulation influences professional competency outcomes.

Professional interests include higher education, adult and online learning, medical education, educational and Instructional technologies, and exploring teaching strategies that better meet the needs of students. He also serves as the Chair of the LGBTQIA Council and the Co-Chair of the Wellness Activities Committee at PCOM.

Doug earned a BS in Chemical Biology from Stevens Institute of Technology, a Masters in Medical Biochemistry from Hahnemann University, a Masters Certificate in Instructional Technology Management from La Salle University, and an EdD in Educational Technology Leadership from New Jersey City University.
